Today I am headed off to Bear Valley<\/a>, a place northeast of here
\nfamous all around for the beauty of its spring wildflowers.  <\/span>Here are some photos<\/a> a person posted on
\nFlickr.  <\/span> Here’s another set<\/a> I discovered (scroll down).  Going there will give me a healthier perspective on the idiotic maneuvering of the toxic little
\nmen and women who would rule and despoil us, and desecrate our world. Today
\nwill be a day of spirit healing.<\/p>\n

A poem by Robinson Jeffers captures my present mood, and I
\nwill share it, especially since this is national poetry month<\/a>. (Or much of it, –
\nI am unsure of the copy right issues- here’s the whole poem<\/a>.)<\/p>\n

The Answer<\/p>\n

Then
\nwhat is the answer?–Not to be deluded by dreams.<\/font><\/font><\/span><\/p>\n

To
\nknow the great civilizations have broken down into violence, and their<\/font><\/font><\/span><\/p>\n

tyrants come, many times before.<\/font><\/font><\/span><\/p>\n

When open violence appears, to
\navoid it with honor or choose the least ugly faction; these evils are
\nessential.<\/font><\/font><\/span><\/p>\n

. . . Integrity is wholeness, the greatest beauty is<\/font><\/font><\/span><\/p>\n

Organic
\nwholeness, the wholeness of life and things, the divine beauty of <\/font><\/font><\/span><\/p>\n

the universe. Love that, not man<\/font><\/font><\/span><\/p>\n

Apart from that, or else you will
\nshare man’s pitiful confusions, or drown in despair when his days darken.<\/font><\/span><\/p>\n
