\nWHEREAS thousands of Pagan men and women have served and are serving the United States of America in the Armed Forces;<\/p>\n
AND WHEREAS the United States Department of Veterans Affairs, created
\nto aid and assist veterans of the US Armed Forces, has demonstrated its
\nunwillingness to aid and assist Pagan veterans<\/p>\n
AND WHEREAS the various veterans currently existing in the United
\nStates such as The American Legion, Veterans of Foreign Wars and others
\nare heavily grounded in Christianity in their rituals, prayers and
\npractices;<\/p>\n
AND WHEREAS Pagan veterans are largely made to feel excluded by these veterans organizations;<\/p>\n
AND WHEREAS all veterans, combat, combat area and others need and
\ndeserve the support of one another, both individually and through a
\nnational organization created to serve them and their needs;<\/p>\n
BE IT KNOWN that such an organization, Pagan Veterans of the USA is
\nformed to serve these individuals and their needs, and that membership
\nin this organization is open to any and all members of the US Army, US
\nNavy, US Marine Force, US Air Force and US Coast Guard possessing an
\nhonorable or general discharge.<\/p>\n
Dues, structure, local posts and other such organizational decisions to
\nbe made at the organizations first national meeting to be held in early
\nNovember, 2009.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n
I hope Pagan veterans who are reading this blog will take the time to get involved. I wish them well.<\/p>\n
