Santa Muerte, appears to have similarly <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Santa_Muerte\">pre-Christian roots<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Alas, the war against any kind of consciousness different from that of an average preacher, banker or college professor continues unabated.&nbsp;
