You have to get a White House password, but that seems no big deal.<\/p>\n<p>One attacks the hideous argument by Christian bigots that we are <a href=\"https:\/\/wwws.whitehouse.gov\/petitions\/%21\/petition\/bar-courts-and-lawmakers-creating-second-class-religion-status-minority-religions-wicca-neopaganism\/SKGx6wJV?mid=502\" target=\"_blank\">legally a second class religion<\/a>, an argument Governor Jerry Brown lacks the moral integrity to oppose. Patrick McCollum has been our point-man on this issue. Here&#8217;s a<a href=\"http:\/\/www.patheos.com\/blogs\/wildhunt\/2010\/02\/patrick-mccollums-case-hits-the-mainstream.html\" target=\"_blank\"> good Wild Hunt piece<\/a> on this issue.<\/p>\n<p>The other seeks to <a href=\"https:\/\/wwws.whitehouse.gov\/petitions\/%21\/petition\/end-military%E2%80%99s-discrimination-against-non-religious-service-members\/jcfr6fWt\" target=\"_blank\">protect Air Force members who are not religious<\/a>.\u00a0 Given the <a href=\"http:\/\/blog.beliefnet.com\/apagansblog\/2010\/09\/sauron-at-the-air-force-academy.html\" target=\"_blank\">disturbing influence Christian bigots <\/a>have in the Air Force, this is important as well.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Both petitions are to the White House.\u00a0 In my view Obama has neither the bravery nor the integrity to do much, but the publicity is important.
