I found the fascination with Anne Rice’s announcement that she was leaving Christianity amazing. In her words: “In the name of Christ, I refuse to be anti-gay. I refuse to be
\nanti-feminist. I refuse to be anti-artificial birth control,” the author
\nwrote on Wednesday on her Facebook fan page. “I quit Christianity and being Christian. Amen.”<\/p>\n

What a hoopla her announcement created. There were blog posts, vengeful comments galore and just lots and lots of mostly angry energy sent her way. The pagan blogs rejoiced and wow what attention her statement recieved.<\/p>\n


\nI love the creator and am in love with the divine and the angelic realms. I am not very fond of judgmental people and I try to remain in a place of love and acceptance about all things. I too dislike it when organized religion funnels millions of dollars to campaign against equal rights for gay people. I am appalled when I listen to Christians or Muslims or anyone claiming to be part of a religion berate anyone or anything. <\/p>\n

Many organized religions are far from loving and accepting. Some of them even believe only their followers will go to heaven. Geez!! If for a moment they opened their hearts and allowed themselves to see through the eyes of the angels they would never judge anyone or anything again.<\/p>\n

I applaud Anne Rice for distancing herself from anti anything. The angels are against anything thyew just love. We could certainly learn a lot from them and the world would be a far different place.<\/p>\n
