Several years ago when I was flying to Lithuania to teach (31 hours of traveling) it seemed like ever other person was reading Eat, Pray, Love. I finally asked a woman seated next to me and she said she liked it except for the fact that it ended with her finding a man. Eventually I read it myself and I enjoyed it. I loved the time she was locked in her room at the ashram and had to climb out the window to go meditate.<\/p>\n

I find it interesting that the movie isn’t even set to be released until August and already there is controversy about it. Hindu statesman Rajan Zed was concerned that Hinduism and its belief system would be
\nincorrectly depicted. <\/p>\n


\nRajan Zed hoped that the filmmakers would stick to authentic traditions and avoid
\nmisrepresenting the already misunderstood religion. Hinduism is the oldest
\nand third largest religion in the world. Since film is such a powerful medium,
\nmisrepresentation would not be fair to Hindus and Hinduism.
