This week two of my themes have been compassion and acts of kindness. Recently I was introduced to Amma the hugging saint<\/a>. I was deeply moved by the love she shows. She will spend up to 22 hours a day hugging and blessing people an amazing act in and of itself.<\/p>\n

In her own words, ” As a child, I always wanted to know the cause<\/span> of misery of mankind and thought that if sorrow is a truth, then there must be a cause and a way out.  <\/p>\n

” I realize my purpose is to console – to personally wipe away tears through selfless love, compassion, and service.” <\/p>\n

\nShe is such a wonderful example of love in action. I would highly recommend watching the beginning of this video<\/a>. Watching her bless and hug people deeply moved me, the rest of the video is about some of her charities.<\/p>\n
