What does the movie, “Men Who Stare at Goats” have to do with working with angels? Let me tell you a story and then you’ll see the connection.<\/p>\n

I’ve been working with angels for quite a while. Often people ask me how to connect with angels and my answer is, you are always connected. The problem often lies in our ability to hear their guidance and follow their suggestions.<\/p>\n

A while ago I had a dream about putting an addition on my house. I called the former owner, got the name of the draftsman that drew up the original plans, and called him up. The draftsman came over and basically told me I couldn’t do what I wanted.<\/p>\n


\nI was disappointed, but I thought I wouldn’t have had that dream if it wasn’t possible. I said a little prayer and let the idea go. A few weeks later, I was scheduled to speak at a church on the other side of the island. They were in the process of envisioning a new building for their meeting space. They had met with a man who was a visionary designer and they had a drawing of the new space. I liked it a lot, so I found out that his name was Jim Channon, called him up, and asked him about designing a space for me.<\/p>\n

I went and spent the day with him and came home with a wonderful sketch for the addition. I had decided I would build what I wanted and not worry about the legality of the project, but once again I left it in the hands of the angels. I called a number of draftsmen until one finally felt right. He suggested ways I could get the permits and do the whole project legally. One of my students offered to come supervise the building, so my dream is about to become a reality.<\/p>\n

So what does this all have to do with the movie? Just as I was leaving Jim’s house, he told me there was a movie coming out about his life, “Men Who Stare at Goats,” and Jeff Bridges was going to play him. That is the way I find angels work; they drop the bread crumbs, and I have to follow the path. <\/p>\n

\"rainbow<\/a><\/span>I went to see the movie on Friday and really enjoyed it. What an amazing feeling it was to watch a movie about the man that designed my soon-to-be new office and meditation space. When he finished the drawing, he pointed to a statue on top of the house sketch and said, “That is an angel and you will have to find it.”  I smiled and told him that I had written a book about angels, and then it was his turn to chuckle and smile.<\/p>\n
