Here is a short excerpt from a conversation with River Jordon the author of Praying for Strangers<\/a>.\u00a0 Hopefully it will encourage to pray for others.<\/p>\n

Changing the world one prayer at a time<\/h3>\n

 <\/p>\n

\"PRAYING<\/a>*The most surprising thing to me is that I didn’t realize how much this resolution, this experience, had changed me until I stepped out recently for the first book signing. What I had been doing privately, silently, for more than a year was suddenly made very public and belonged to everyone. Instead of the fear and trembling in sharing those experiences in an introverted way with the audience I was absolutely impassioned about my belief that this one tiny thing could usher in a wave of prayer across this country, across the world, for people praying for the very best in life for strangers they pass everyday. And because I’ve seen first hand how this has impacted the people in my small little resolution world, the image of one more person, one more city, doing this on a regular basis seems to fuel me to want to stand on the rooftop and say, LOOK, really! LISTEN, this one little thing that we could do for each other every single day is so important. Please don’t overlook it’s power in all of it’s charmed simplicity.<\/p>\n

I’ve also had people now approach me at each individual signing and say that they had been doing this but didn’t know anyone else was and when they heard about the book they just had to come see and hear. It’s not just me. Not just this book. There is a movement stirring out there that most likely began long before I had a resolution or wrote a book. The story just feel to me to write to connect us.<\/p>\n

I tried to give up the resolution at the end year believing I had ‘checked that box’ and now I was free. A few days into 2010 I knew that wasn’t the case at all. I couldn’t return to my own little box of life and turn my back on people. So, I’m still walking out my days this way. I”m still praying for strangers.<\/p>\n

Creating a movement that really makes a difference<\/h3>\n

This blog is about angels and it is really about living your life as the angels do, as a human angel. For a day, maybe for the rest of Lent pray for others. Wish them all the blessing the universe has to offer. Pray that they have more than enough, that they have laughter, health, joy, abundance and a deep and abiding connection to their divine nature. See what happens. As you pray for others you will find you life enriched in ways you could never imagine but don\u2019t take my word for it pray and see what happens.<\/p>\n
