Being colourful when the world around you is all grey and drab is an interesting experience. I was recently down in Vancouver to visit my son. I tend to dress more colourfully than most people and it was really evident on this visit. It was mostly raining as it sometimes does in the rain forest and it was cool. When I was out for my morning dog walks, I noticed that everyone was wearing black or grey, no colour at all. Well, except for me of course, she laughs.<\/p>\n

I tend to wear colour in some way. If I am wearing black, you know I will have a brightly coloured shirt on, but this day I had white fluffy pants on with colourful hearts. I kind of glowed in the dark, especially with the drab dark colours all around me. I am friendly and say hi to everyone. I am not overly concerned if they say hi back, but appreciate the ones that do. I did notice that a few people were smiling at me and not with me, but that didn’t matter to me. What was most important was that they were smiling and releasing feel good hormones throughout their body in doing so. My job was done.<\/p>\n

Worry less about what other people think of you and spend your time focused on how you feel.<\/p>\n

Bring more colour into your life in some way. Make a colourful meal, add a colourful scarf to your wardrobe if you afraid to be bold in your clothing choices and breathe more colour into your life. Add a splash of colour to your life and see if you don’t have a better day because of it.<\/p>\n
