\"lXRRYroqYCZLixP-250.jpg\"<\/span>The trafficking of children for sale at the Super Bowl is well documented<\/a>.  Texas Attorney General Abbott is taking a stand<\/a>
\nand has prepared a task force to identify and respond to traffickers
\nwho plan to sell children at the Super Bowl.  However, it is not enough
\nto expect law enforcement and victim advocates to bear the entire burden
\nof responding to this issue, which is expected to include many
\nvictims.  In support of the efforts of the task force, we are requesting
\nthe Super Bowl Host Committee<\/a> embrace a proactive approach with community members by endorsing the “I’m Not buying It<\/a>” campaign, which would raise awareness and deter the buying of children during the Super Bowl.<\/p>\n

This year’s Super Bowl will be big; we know that. What is yet undetermined is how much human trafficking will take place surrounding the event.
We have an opportunity to do something about it.<\/p>\n

First, you can sign the petition<\/a> to fight sex trafficking during the events surrounding the Super Bowl. Go here. (By the way, the first paragraph above and image are taken from this petition to help support their effort.)<\/p>\n

Second, if you can be in the Dallas-Ft. Worth area during that time, contact Traffick911<\/a> to volunteer and help.<\/p>\n

Third, you can always give to agencies fighting human trafficking in the US. Two I support include Home of Hope Texas<\/a> and Mercy Movement<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Fourth, you can pray. Prayer changes things, but it won’t if you don’t do it. Pray today for those held against their will within our own borders.<\/p>\n

Fifth, you can get resources on this issue. I’ve recently worked on a book and DVD on the topic that releases this summer. You can pre-order here<\/a> or find several others in the “related resources” listed there.<\/p>\n

Lastly, do something. Slavery still exists, even in America. It will only end when enough of us get fired up enough to stand together against it.<\/p>\n
