\"\"<\/a>Nearly one in four American kids can’t count on having enough to eat.<\/strong> You can\u2019t see it just by looking, but it lives next door.\u00a0 Hungry kids struggle to concentrate at school, are more likely to have behavior problems, and are more likely to get sick than their well-nourished peers.<\/p>\n

Now Congress is considering a budget cut that will put even more children at risk of hunger.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Recently, the House Agriculture Committee indicated that they would consider cuts to the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) over reducing automatic subsidies to farmers.<\/p>\n

More than 20 million American children depend on SNAP, or food stamps, to provide adequate nutrition.<\/p>\n

In this tough economic time, we shouldn’t be making it more difficult for families to feed their children.<\/p>\n

Right now, Republican Budget Chairman Paul Ryan is weighing the proposed cuts to SNAP. He needs to hear the public demand that Congress continue funding food stamps at their current level.<\/p>\n

Join the No Kid Hungry campaign and take action today. Tell Chairman Ryan that cutting SNAP means he’s contributing to the childhood hunger crisis.<\/strong><\/p>\n
