Soon thereafter, a<br \/>\ngaunt man was escorted to the other side of the screen. Despite being<br \/>\nnoticeably thinner, Gulner of course knew the face of her beloved<br \/>\nhusband. Sadly, Alimjan and Gulner soon realized that the same was not<br \/>\ntrue for their son&#8211;after such a long time apart, and at his young age,<br \/>\nhe no longer recognized his father. &#8220;He could only stare at the strange<br \/>\nman, separated from him by a wall of glass,&#8221; says a friend of the<br \/>\nfamily.\n<\/p>\n<p>\nAlimjan and Gulner desperately need your prayers for strength and<br \/>\nperseverance as their separation continues. Though lawyers are working<br \/>\non Alimjan&#8217;s appeal case, progress is slow and he remains sentenced to<br \/>\n15 years imprisonment for &#8220;leaking state secrets.&#8221; Meanwhile, Gulner is<br \/>\nleft to care for the children alone.
