Some would even call it a depression.<\/p>\n<p>But foreclosure is not always inevitable. We sometimes see family, friends, and neighbors struggle to keep their home, hoping and praying they do, and then stop. What if we did something to help instead?<\/p>\n<p>A friend of mine once said, &#8220;What would our nation be like if every American helped another American out of homelessness?&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>I would add, &#8220;What would our nation be like if every American helped another American <em>keep <\/em>their home?&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Those in need aren&#8217;t always across the ocean or in the run-down parts of town. Sometime they&#8217;re next door.<\/p>\n<p>As Jesus said, love your neighbor as yourself.<\/p>\n<p>In some cases, this might include helping someone make a mortgage payment.<\/p>\n<p>Help someone keep their home.<\/p>\n<p><em>If one of you says to them, \u201cGo in peace; keep warm and well fed,\u201d but does nothing about their physical needs, what good is it?
