This week, many celebrated the 100th anniversary of International Women’s Day. There are many noble organizations supporting the effort to improve the rights of women around the world, but one of my favorites is CARE International. Through their educational and human rights initiatives, they have changed the lives of those changing the world in some of the most difficult areas of the world.<\/p>\n

To help support and celebrate International Women’s Day, CARE is currently highlighting its care package initiative. Below is a brief overview of the program and the link to get involved. Sometimes it’s the little things that make a big difference. Here’s your chance. Go for it!<\/p>\n

CARE introduced the CARE Package in 1946 to deliver lifesaving food
\nand much-needed supplies to Europeans after World War II. The original
\nCARE Package was so widely embraced by the public, the name CARE
\nPackage quickly became a synonym for gifts of comfort sent to far-away
\nfamily and friends.<\/p>\n

In the 65 years since the first CARE Package was delivered,
\nCARE’s anti-poverty mission has changed. Instead of delivering items in
\na box, CARE now delivers tools and resources that help empower poor
\ngirls and women around the world to create positive change in their
\nlives and their communities. <\/i><\/p>\n


\nThe CARE Package has changed, too. Like its predecessor, the
\nnew CARE Package is changing the way people invest in helping others.
