\"japanindex.jpg\"<\/span>Many of us are still in shock at the 8.9-magnitude earthquake that just struck off the coast of Japan. Images and videos continue to reveal the darkness of the tragedy. The unfortunate reality for many of us is that we want to help, but find ourselves asking, “What can I do?”<\/p>\n

Yes, we can and hopefully will, give financially to help with relief efforts. However, at the moment, unless you are in Japan or have loved ones there, here’s where to begin: pray.<\/p>\n

Prayer may not seem that important at the moment, but the same God who created the earth holds the power to change what happens next. We may not understand the tragedies that strike our world, but we can cry out to the One who can do something when we cannot.<\/p>\n

If all you can do is pray, perhaps that is exactly what God wants you to do at the moment. Let’s all take some time to lift our hearts on behalf of those in Japan and look for his hope in the midst of the storm.<\/p>\n
