\"\"<\/a>Surrounding the reflection over the past week regarding the ten-year anniversary of 9\/11, a few voices are beginning to emerge with an idea that has resonated in my own life–the proposal of making 9\/11 a national holiday<\/a>.<\/p>\n

As I watched the footage replayed from that horrific day in 2001, I kept wondering what would make sense to remember the event? What other national tragedy serves as a guide for this type of attack? Historically, the only similar occurrence is found in the attack at Pearl Harbor. Still today, our nation celebrates Pearl Harbor Day to commemorate the 2,400 lives lost in battle.<\/p>\n

This commemoration could serve the American public in a similar way in the case of 9\/11.<\/p>\n
