Veteran’s Day often finds itself either neglected or treated controversially (such as the headline<\/a> regarding those opposing unjust war this year). But at least one Christian school has found a positive was to participate.<\/p>\n

Students at Metro Christian Academy in Tulsa, OK presented a program to area veterans called “God Bless America’s Heroes.” Launched by the school following 9\/11, their efforts have led to a now 9th annual event to honor America’s military personnel.<\/p>\n

The patriotic program extends beyond Veterans Day as well. The students will
\nalso write letters to military people currently on active duty thanking
\nthem for the sacrifices they are making.<\/p>\n
