“Thou, O God, art my fortress, the God who shows me steadfast love.”
Psalms 59:17
We gain strength when we envision ourselves as being protected by God. Psalm 59:17 gives us the image of God as four walls standing between an individual and danger. In this concrete metaphor we are also given the softer side; a loving God who is always demonstrating love.
