You CAN use your power to attract all that you need. I do it every day! Read all the posts in my Law of Attraction in Action Series to see how.

I’m sure you’ve heard it before–if you want to attract love, you have to love yourself first.

Makes sense, doesn’t it? Yet, no matter how logical it sounds, it’s more common for people to seek love from others while neglecting themselves. Too many of us fall for someone and give all our love to them. Or we give our love to others to earn approval from them because we don’t approve of ourselves. That’s backwards. If you want to attract the true kind of love from others and a life of happiness, be loving to yourself first.

Self-love is a magnet for love. The more you love YOU, the more loving people and situations will be attracted to you.

I’m not just talking about a romantic partner. Love comes in many forms. And, self-love attracts happiness. Every time you do something kind for you, it sends a message to the Universe that you feel worthy of kindness and more kindness comes to you. Every time you show yourself love, you attract the good kind of loving feelings that make you happier. Doing things that put a smile on your face radiates joy out to the Universe, attracting more.

The happiness that self-love creates builds the emotions needed to attract many other things that you want.

Remember, the Law of Attraction picks up your emotions. The more joy and love you feel the more positive your emotions. The more positive your emotions, the more you’re in alignment to attract all the things you want. When I was a DoorMat, I felt down and my emotions were negative. Life plodded by as I struggled to get through each day. Smiles weren’t a common occurrence on my face. I didn’t even know what happiness felt like. My dark emotions from self-loathing attracted more reasons to be unhappy, and snuffed out m ability to love me.

Falling in love with me did the opposite. I thought it would be nice to feel better about me but got a whole lot more! The more I smiled, the more I had to smile about. The more I gave myself, the more I got from others. As my love for me grew, so did my ability to attract what I wanted. My emotions began to soar with joy and that joy sent a message to the Universe to bring it on–all the good that I could handle.

Self-love makes you want to take better care of you. It puts you in the mood to receive, and guess what the Law of Attraction does? It supports you in receiving more.

Since this is Self-Love Month it’s the perfect time to tell the Universe that you want to deserve more, even if you don’t feel it yet. Doing loving things for yourself helps you send a message that you’re trying, and the Universe will respond with support. Every loving act you do will make you smile more, which raises the emotional vibrations needed to manifest. If you haven’t signed my pledge to do something loving for you for the next 31 days, sign now! It will continue all year.

Read what you write aloud with feeling to get the message to the Universe more strongly.

•    “I’m going to the gym as an act of self-love.”
•    “I’m making time to read a book because I want to love me more”
•    “I skipped dessert because I love myself enough to want to be healthier.”

Tell the Universe your intention. Show it with loving actions. The more you do that makes you feel good or gets you excited or puts you in more positive spirits also is ammo for the Law of Attraction to work with. Self-love attracts a healthier kind of love from others and healthier situations for you.
