Self-Love is a process that builds over time. Small loving acts are like little steps that stimulate it. I consider faith to be the glue. When I first left Doormatville, I was scared but determined to create a wonderful life that would be satisfying and allow me to finally be happy. As I stumbled along, trying to be more self-loving, I had no faith and scorned God. After all, if there was a God, why was I so unhappy?

As I began to learn more about faith, I tried using it, and it grew.

There are many paths to faith. I had it before knowing what it was. I called it positive thinking. Hello Daylle! That’s faith. Tapping into your spiritual side can begin with making your attitude more positive. I didn’t recognize its power when I was resistant. Yet I manifested its rewards in ignorance, since according to the Law of Attraction, we get back what we give out. I was living as a good person and as I loved myself more, I had more positive expectations. Today my faith is stronger than I’d have ever believed it could be.

I consider faith the power tool for building self-love and becoming an empowered person.

You can ease into it slowly if you’re not faithful yet. I was far from it in my DoorMat days and over time my faith keeps getting stronger. Look to God, the Universe, spirit, source energy, etc., for spiritual support–whatever you’re comfortable with. I held on to the Universe for years before embracing God. It can take time but as you put our faith out and get what you need, faith gets stronger.

The single most loving thing I’ve ever done for me was to work on making my faith strong.

Approaching things that scare you from a spiritual mindset allows you to control fear. In my DoorMat Days I was always scared, which contributed heavily to my staying a people pleaser. I felt alone, unsupported, which kept my self-love low. Slowly building faith made me feel so much better. And better! And better! The better I felt, the more love I felt for me! I don’t get nearly as scared as I used to. Actually, I rarely get scared at all. Even if money seems scarce or I don’t feel well, faith that it will all work out gets me through. That’s one of those gifts I consider priceless!

Become more conscious of where your thoughts go when you have a problem. Try using faith for small issues and as you see it work, try more. The more good results from using faith, the more you’ll trust it. It takes time to build trust. It’s not something that happens with one thing working out. But the more you try and have a positive outcome, the more you’ll be motivated to use faith to get through life in a happier and relaxed way. Chapter 4 in my FREE book, How Do I Love Me? Let Me Count the Ways, has many tips for developing  strong sense of faith. You can also get suggestions by reading the posts in my Law of Attraction in Action Series.

You get as much as your mind allows. If you believe you can, you can. The contrary is true too. Be careful not to attract negatives. Faith is a solid gift of love to you. I implore you to use it if you want a happier life!
