That is what his parents wrote after Mitchell died this morning at 3am.

Mitchell Wins………
Friends,
Mitchell went to be with the Lord at 3am this morning. It was very peaceful and we both got to watch him pass on to Heaven. We are home now……..all is well.
More to come……..today is a beginning of the celebration in Christ.
O lord, open my lips, and my mouth will declare your praise. Psalm 51:15
But as for me, I will always have hope; I will praise you more and more. Psalm 71:14
Restore us again, O God our Saviour. Psalm 85:4
Lift up your hands in the sanctuary and praise the Lord. Psalm134:2
Continue to pray for us as we walk this stretch.
God is good.
All is well.

I never met Mitch, I have never met his parents. All I know is when a friend sent around an email that there was a little boy who was very sick I felt this divine urge to pray for him and to pray for his family. I longed for him to be healed. I longed for him to be a walking miracle. Those prayers weren’t answered. The prayers of untold thousands who prayed for his healing weren’t answered.

And I have no idea why. None.
But if his life teaches me anything it is to do one thing – believe in God’s goodness. His parents exemplify that kind of faith. They have unspeakably tough days and years ahead of them. My biggest prayer for them is that their faith remain intact. I suspect it will.
Thanks for praying with me and for sharing Mitch’s journey. Perhaps one day we will see him as he was meant to be. Till then there is this:
