Al Roker is originally from Queens, and wanted to be a cartoonist, working on his high school’s Cartooning & Illustration Club. He graduated from State University of New York with a degree in communications, and worked as a weather anchor for a CBS affiliate while still enrolled.
Al met his wife when she joined NBC as a reporter, and has a weekday show on The Weather Channel.
