Megyn Kelly was originally hired by WJLA-TV as a general assignment reporter where she covered significant national and local events. She then applied for a job at Fox News where she contributed segments for various pre-existing shows such as “The O’Reilly Factor.” In 2010, Kelly began hosting her own show, “America Live.” She left “America Live” to take maternity leave, and began hosting “The Kelly File” when she returned to Fox. “The Kelly File” became one of Fox’s most popular shows. Kelly’s talent lead CNN president Jonathan Klein to state that he regretted not hiring Kelly at the beginning of her career and stated that she was “the one talent you’d want to have from somewhere else.”
