Rupert Grint played Harry Potter’s ginger bestfriend, Ron Weasley in the Harry Potter film series. Grint was born in Essex, England and is the oldest out of 5 siblings. He started performing in school productions and decided to try out for the role of Ron Weasley by sending a hip-hop lyrics tape about why he wanted the role being a huge fan of the book series. His salary was around $125,000 for the first film, Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone, which jumped all the way to $15,000,000” in the last film, part 2 of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows.”

The filming of all 6 movies took up most of his childhood from 2000 until 2011. He supposedly bought an ice cream van as a way to fulfill a childhood desire that he missed out on being a movie star. He has also been in films such as, Thunderpants (2002) and Driving Lessons (2006). Rupert is involved with many different charity organizations such as Royal National Lifeboat Institute and Cancer Research UK in London. He took part in an ad campaign called “Make Milk Mine” to promote milk drinking.
