Although Zach Braff is most known for his role on Scrubs, he is also a credited director, screenwriter and producer. Braff obtained his directorial start with the cult favorite Garden State starring himself and Academy Award-winning actress, Natalie Portman. He won a Grammy award for Best Compilation Soundtrack for a Motion Picture for Garden State.

Outside of acting and directing, Braff owns an Oyster bar in New York City and remains best friends with Scrubs co-star Donald Faison.
