Matthew Broderick is well known for his 1986 character in the comedy, Ferris Bueller’s Day Off. He was born in New York to two acting parents and first major role was in On Valentine’s Day, where he played a character opposite of his father.

Broderick has won 2 Tony Awards and is the youngest actor to have won the Tony for Best Featured Actor in a play. He met his wife, actress Sarah Jessica Parker, through his brother and together they have 1 son and 2 twin daughters. In addition to Manhattan, the family has a vacation home in Kilcar, Ireland where Broderick spent summers as a child. In 1987, Broderick was involved in a severe car accident in Northern Ireland when his car crossed over into on-coming traffic and killed a mother and daughter.
