Herb Alpert is a jazz musician who is most commonly associated with a jazz group that goes by a variety of names including Herb Alpert and the Tijuana Brass, Herb Albert's Tijuana Brass and TJB. In addition to being a performer, Alpert is also a recording industry executive. His last name forms the "A" in A&M Records. The "M" is his business partner, Jerry Moss. Outside of the music industry, Alpert has created abstract expressionist paintings and sculptures that have occasionally gone on display. He also runs the philanthropic Herb Alpert Foundation with his wife, Lani Hall.
