"Tell all - I see them on the other side," one of the West Virginia miners who died earlier this week scrawled on a goodbye note. "It wasn't bad, I just went to sleep."At the bottom, the note continues, "I love you."
It was a painful reminder of the miners' suffering, as well as a form of consolation for their families and the millions of people who watched their ordeal.
Many people never get to say goodbye before they die, but many others are able to offer last words to their family and friends. Have you ever received words of farewell from a dying loved one? What words do you think you would say if you were close to death?
