15. When you feel a headache coming on—and if you can do this— apply cold compresses to your head or the back of your neck. Elevate your feet and try to rest for about 20 minutes.
16. Use a neti pot or some other system to irrigate your sinuses when you shower. You should do this every day, but on days when you feel a headache coming on, take a warm shower and use the neti pot again. Many headaches are associated with nasal congestion so this can help even if it doesn’t entirely cure your headache.
