Have a salad. Have you ever noticed that a junky mood makes you want to eat junky food? Depression is like a virus—it’s looking to create the conditions in which it can take over your life. Fight it by eating lots of fruits and veggies. Minimize the sugar, processed foods, fatty foods, and caffeine and go green (If a salad seems too summery for you, make yourself some healthful soups). Fight the urge to binge out; eating healthfully will make a difference almost immediately.
