Depression is going to nail your feet to the floor, but that is because your low mood feeds off isolation. Even if you have to force yourself, get social (and I don’t mean social-media social). If you are invited to any festivities, however lame you may think they are, go out with a determination to enjoy yourself a little. If nobody invites you out, call up some friends or family and make a brunch date or go to the movies. Do what you love: go fishing, get your hair done, or play the piano.
