Add Prayer to Your Workout
The Bible frequently mentions that Jesus went up a mountain to pray, and it's likely that He prayed or meditated as He hiked and climbed. Praying while you exercise can make your workouts more productive and interesting by adding a spiritual dimension. Rhythmic exercise such as walking, running, cycling, etc. is very effective in opening the mind for meditation. Before you exercise, read a chapter from the Bible and meditate on the passage during your workout. You can also simply offer an unstructured prayer as you exercise. Finally, try listening to Christian music or a talk by your favorite motivational speaker.
