Take No Prisoners (Make No Mistakes)
Perfectionists are afraid of making mistakes: avoid mistakes at all costs. The importance of making an error is elevated to epic proportions even when the consequence of an imperfection is rather small. Whenever you are afraid of something, you tend to avoid it. The closer you get the more anxious you feel. Avoiding mistakes is a different strategy than pursuing excellence. If you can embrace success and accept the potential of failure, then you can be freed from the tyranny of perfectionism.
