Be Aware of Hunger and Fullness
Be aware of hunger and fullness – Pay attention to your body before, during, and after your meals. Really notice when you get hungry, how it feels, and how hungry you are. It is best not to wait until you are famished to eat because you are more likely to overeat and eat at a faster pace if you do so. As you are eating, notice when you are starting to get full, and when it may be time to stop. You don’t need to eat everything that is in front of you. When you start to feel the cues of fullness, and are satisfied but not stuffed, that’s a good time to put the fork down.
