Stick to a Consistent Sleep Schedule
It’s easier to stay in a funk when you are up at one in the morning working, emailing, or writing song lyrics and sleeping in until noon the next day. The lack of structure tells your system to start breaking down, since aberrant sleep patterns affect circadian rhythms, our internal biological clocks, which govern fluctuations in body temperature, brain-wave activity, cell regeneration, and hormone production. The shift in hormone levels absolutely contributes to malaise and anxiety. So, while its great to be productive and express yourself creatively at night, you’d be happier if you did it before ten at night.
