Sure, everybody needs a snack once in a while. In fact, I recommend that you have something in your stomach every 2-3 hours.
The best snacks are fruit or vegetables, with a little grain. This could be some wheat crackers and apple juice. Or 3/4 cup of vegetable juice and a slice of pumpernickel bread. Or an orange and a sourdough pretzel.
Always include a big (at least 8 ounce) glass of water.
For one snack each day, add a little protein from either the meat, nuts, beans or eggs group, or the dairy group. Have a slice of cheese, some hummus spread, or a piece of leftover chicken.
