Please be realistic about making changes. It's not possible to change negative habits overnight, or even in a few weeks. Lasting change is something that is always happening; it doesn't just suddenly start, or really ever end. We're all in a process of changing and renewing, recreating and revisioning, all the time. It happens little by little, over a lifetime.
You are a different person today than you were yesterday. Please know this! You will be doing different things, trying new ideas, putting new plans into action today. That's natural.
Problems arise when we expect to have everything "better" instantly. Just by thinking that everything's going to be perfect today, or even perfect right now, and expecting the best instantly--you’re not being realistic.
Truth is, we're limited by ourselves. Truth is, things are not the way we think they should be, they're the way nature, or God intends. We are not perfect the way we think we are; we're perfect in God's world. In the scheme and design of Nature, we are already perfect; we are only imperfect and limited by our expectations and false illusions of ourselves.
I think the one and only way to truly be perfect, and unlimited, is to put my life entirely into God's care.
