Just because you may be a vegetarian doesn’t mean you’ll naturally lose weight! Many people fall for that myth. Just because you’re not eating animal fat doesn’t mean you’re not eating fat! There’s fat in baked goods, sauces, fried things, ice cream, butter, and cheese. Just because you may be a "vegan" (no animal substances whatsoever) doesn’t mean you’re not consuming fat. There’s fat in vegetables (avocado, bananas, etc.), vegetable oil, and in nuts. Just because you may not be eating fattening vegetables doesn’t mean the extra calories you consume in the form of too much food won’t be stored as fat. That’s because, just like anyone else who is struggling with a weight problem, you have to eat less than your body uses to lose weight.
