I’m addicted to food. No matter what I try, I just can't control myself. I am a believer, and I like this website a lot, but I just don't know if I can lose weight with faith. It seems weirdly, both too easy, and impossible. I am desperate. Now what? Good, you've taken the first step. You admitted you're addicted. You're also, by default, admitting you cannot do it by yourself and that you believe in God, or a Higher Power. Whether you know it or not, these are the first two steps of the most successful addiction intervention program ever created: the Twelve Steps. Now, put the third step into action. Ask God for help. Say a prayer asking to be shown the way. Once you've prayed for God’s help, get help in every way you can. Go to a support group, talk to a therapist or counselor, ask a doctor, or pastor, or friend you trust to help you find the help you need. Keep praying, keep learning, keep admitting you're powerless and addicted. Then let God show you the way, and give you the power to do what you’re shown.
