If you feel like crying, go ahead. There’s a need there, and holding it back ultimately makes it worse.

If you’re in pain, communicate it. Don’t just tolerate it. Take some action to take care of it. Be sure to NEVER "eat away the tears."
It’s OK to be in pain, or sad, or emotional. Imploding your feelings, and then trying to get relief from food will not help you one bit. Instead, let those emotions show in the ways God designed them to come out.
