I recommend never skipping a meal or snack. Have three small meals a day, and three small snacks a day. Have small servings, like the sizes recommended in the USDA Food Pyramid. I recommend that you eat every 2-3 hours. Don’t go hungry! Then, you won’t have to ravenously over-eat. Keep track of all you eat on a daily basis; how much food each entire day. Keep to the number of servings recommended (added up on a daily basis) and I promise you, you’ll lose weight. My book, The Joy of Weight Loss, shows you exactly how to do this, and it’s easy. If you skip meals or opt for a deprivation diet, then your body will not be adequately nourished and you will get so hungry after 2-3 hours of fasting that you might eat too much next time.
