Losing weight is about being happy and emotionally balanced. When you're not troubled or under duress, or depressed, then you don't need food for comfort.
It's taking care of your body by eating moderately and having physical fun. You tend to eat less when you've been active. Certainly, exercise and joyful activity also help your emotions.
And it's about being full soulfully and spiritually.
