As a nation, we're consuming far more than we used to. People weigh a lot more than we used to, too. We have a serious obesity epidemic in America. Do you have an overweight or obesity problem?
Why? Portions are bigger. Advertising is more pervasive and persuasive. And we're depending more on restaurants and prepared foods than ever before.
The answer is simple: Eat less every time. Become conscious of how much you actually do consume. Don't take for granted that the amount of food you're served is healthy. Don't drink the whole bottle of juice. Read the label, it's more than one serving! Cut your plate in half at a restaurant, and save the rest for the next meal. Spend a little time to get to know the USDA Food Pyramid, and recommended food serving sizes.
