A way to get pleasure and feel open and soulful (instead of eating too much) is to sing or play music. When's the last time you sang along to the radio, or took out that old guitar or flute? Or "tickled the ivories?"
Who cares if you have musical talent! If you can't carry a tune - then tap it. Get rhythm! Feel the beat. Catch the groove.
Singing taps into a different part of you, other than the overeating urge. By singing, you are connecting with your soul, the spirit of life that is in you. This spirit will enrich you in so many more ways than food can.
Don’t be embarrassed, either. Most of us are not so great at singing! It’s not the tune that’s important, it’s the soul singing it.
