Du'a when planting trees or sowing seeds

Imam Jafar bin Muhammad al Sadiq advised the believers to recite either or all of the following dua’as at the time of planting trees or sowing seeds:

MATHALAN KALIMATAN T’AYYIBATAN KASHAJARTIN T’AYYIBATIN AS’LUHAA THAABITUW WA FAR-U’HAA FIS SAMAAA TOOTEEE UKULAHAA KULLA H’EENIM BI-ID’NI RABBIHAA

[A goodly word is like a goodly tree, whose root is firmly fixed, and its branches are in heaven. It yields its fruit in every season by the permission of its Lords.]

Recite 3 times
AFARA-AYTUM MAA TAH’RUTHOON A-ANTUM TAZRA-O’ONAHOO AM NAH’NUZ ZAARI-O’ON

[Have you seen that which you sow? Do you cause it to grow, or are We (Allah) the grower?]

Recite, standing, facing qibla, the above noted (ii) and continue the following

ALLAAHUMMAJ-A’LHU H’ARTHAN MUBAARAKAN WAR-ZUQNAA FEEHIS SALAAMATI WAT TAMAAMATA WAJ-A’LHU H’ABBAN MUTARAAKIBAN WA LAA TAH’RIMNEE KHAYRA MAA ABTAGEE WA LAA TAFTINEE BEE MAA MATTA’-TANEE BIH’AQQI MUHAMMADIN WA AALIHIT’T’AYYIBEEN

[O Allah, let these (seeds) be productive, blessed. Feed us from the produce in safety and to our full satisfaction. Let these seeds produce so much that the produce be piled up in heaps. Do not deprive me from that which I seek and desire, nor put me to test and trial by allowing me to enjoy (abundant produce), for the sake of Muhammad and his pure progeny.]
