Thomas W. Glenn Jr.
Tommy was a wonderful man. He was charming, intelligent, charismatic and good-hearted. He could always put a smile on your face.

This prayer circle is for all of those who are suffering from the disease of addiction, dealing with a family members addiction, or those of us who have lost a loved one to addiction. In loving memory of Tommy. September 2,1975-January 27,2001. God Bless

This prayer circle is in memory of Thomas W. Glenn Jr. Tommy was an intelligent, articulate, charming and good-hearted young man. His life ended short at the young age of 25. A true genius, the things he could have achieved if given the chance. On a cold Januay morning he passed away from "bad heroin". His family and loved ones miss him desperately and need prayers. Also, in honor of Tommy the prayers are being said for all of those suffering from the disease drug addiction, families dealing with addiction and loved ones of those who have passed on due to addiction. Tom was a conquerer, if this could beat him...it could beat anyone. Please help one another. Please Lord, give me the strength to continue to fight for this cause. God bless you.

WE LOVE YOU TOM!!!

Tom, you are in the Lords hands now and one day we will meet again For now, I pray for you all the peace and happiness in heaven.

My son has been suffering from meth addiction, and then alcohol, since he was about 16. He is in jail at this time and I feel that it is good for him. I am thankful that he did not have a bad car accident and kill someone, or himself. But he needs prayers because it is very hard for him to quit cold turkey, and when he gets out this summer he will need help to stay clean.
due to chronic depression and bad affects from conventional medicines.
Thank you

Lord, tonight I pray that everyone that is facing or have faced drug addiction be touched by the Lord Jesus. I have faith that he will heal my husband who has been battling with this tormented drug life. At this time he is either selling or using drugs, maybe even both. He also choosed the worst friends possible. That has always been an issue he has had since he was 13yrs old and now at 37, I feel enough is enough. We have been separated for almost 3yrs now and drugs/pawning/stealing were major issues between us due to his addiction and lack of self-esteem. Today I am praying with all my might Dear Father God that you bind all the darkness that makes him stumble and fall into these traps, especially if these actions don't follow what is in the word of god. I pray that he not find joy in the money he earns, I pray that he no longer enjoys the company he's surrounded by if your will isn't being done. I pray that he not find happiness and fulfillment with the people he is around, if your will isn't done dear Lord. I ask these requests to save him and our marriage. I ask that he being missing what he has loved so much, his family: his wife and children. Let him find you lord. He needs you, come into his life. Don't let him stumble any longer, I don't want to lose him. Please keep him safe from harm and disease, in the name of Jesus Christ I pray, Amen

I know this may sound trivial to some, as their are alot worse addictions out there than mine, however, I am battling the addiction to cigarettes.I have joined a clinic that is supported and structured by the American Lung Assn. I already know that I have COPD,and I am 62 yrs old. I am 4 weeks into this clinic, and our quit date was the 17th of May. I went to clinic one day later, and confessed that I had cheated. I was not going to lie about it, for if I had, my concious would have gotten the better of me, and I would have told anyway. I have cheated 3 times since that meeting. This is Sunday the 22nd, and we meet again on Wed. I will tell the truth once again. I was smoking 2+ pk's a day, and have only been smoking maybe one or two a day now. This group has well prepared us, for what we are going to go through in recovery, and has provided us with a notebook full of tools, that we can read, and follow, to stay off of them. I am asking that some of you here, say a prayer for me, as I do everyday, in asking the Lord to deliver me from this awful killer of addiction. It is well known that cigarettes are harder to get off of than most hard drugs, like heroin, cocaine, etc. I know that in the end, its all up to me, and I have remained very positive during the clinic meetings however, I feel that I need a little extra help, and I know the Lord can help me if I allow him to. So far though, my prayers have been friutless, and my mind, or the addiction takes over. Cigarettes are somewhat like alcohol, if you tell yourself just one puff, or one cigarette is not going to hur me, then I am lieing to myself, as a alcoholic "thinks" the same way. If I continue to just take one puff, or one cigarette a day, then I will eventually be right back where I was when I signed up for this clinic, called "Freedom From Smoking". I would appreciate anyone to join me in asking the Lord to deliver me, I have seen him work this way on others in the past. If I do not abstain now,my chance's of living another 10-15 yrs are very low. Thank you for reading, and your prayers. Trublugrl....(aka)Trudy

May God bless all of those who are have laid their prayers on these 94 pages :) The fact that you've made it here means a lot to Jesus. Just imagine the smile on His face as you placed your entire self, your entire faith and love on the line to admit a problem does exist...

Even if there is no immediate physical change, I believe prayers will one day break through and make a difference!

I, too, have an addiction...although some may say it's not "real". Please pray for my heart, that I may realize what's causing the addiction in the first place so I can work on THAT so that my addiction won't exist anymore...

My Jesus, I love you dearly. Please deliver me from my addiction so that I may love you more dearly, and may serve others around me more deeply and truly. Be with me this night...

Please God bless the family and friends of Tommy with the strength to live their lives despite the pain from the loss of Tommy. I pray that our youth will be blessed with discernment to be protected from those that will entice them with drugs, and alcohol to "fit in" with people that are instruments of destruction. Please surround all people that are fighting addiction with your Angels to protect and guide them on the straight, and narrow way through life. May the Holy Spirit provide comfort for those battling withdrawal, cravings, and all of the other experiences that come with recovery. May the counselors, therapists, and others working diligently to keep people sober be blessed with continued success in their vocations. I pray that these, and all other petitions be asked in Jesus name. Amen

I pray in the name of Jesus that my X husband somehow gets away from those people that are allowing him to continue his addiction to meth and porn! May he know from the heart of Jesus Christ that what he is doing is wrong. May he be taught by Christ what is truly good for him. Please pray for him. Ironically his name is Tommy as well as the person who inspired this prayer circle. Lord bless all with the knowledge they need to rise above this horrible heart and family slitting thing that directs them unwisely. In Jesus name...Amen
