For those with chronic diseases and illnesses
Chronic Diseases Prayer Circle

This circle is for all who suffer with chronic diseases and disorders and in need of prayer and support from others.

There are many who are afflicted with chronic diseases such as lupus, MS, fibromylagia, rheumatoid arthritis, chronic fatigue syndrome and others, or may have children or other family members and friends who suffer with these conditions. The prayer circle can be here for the many ups and downs that come with these illnesses, as well as the tests that most have to go through when having a flare or time of activity in their symptoms. This can be a place to come for prayers when support is needed and also to give thanks and praise to God for remissions and times that we feel well.

A Dear friend sent this to me today, and I had to sit back and truly reflect on it's meaning. I wanted to share it all with you.
In Christ,
Lyssa

ARE YOU A REASON, SEASON OR LIFETIME??

Are you a Reason, a Season, or a Lifetime?

Pay attention to what you read. After you read this, you will know the
reason it was sent to you!

People come into your life for a reason, a season, or a lifetime. When you
figure out which one it is, you will know what to do for each person.

When someone is in your life for a REASON. . . It is usually to meet a need
you have expressed.
They have come to assist you through a difficulty, to provide you with
guidance and support, to aid you physically, emotionally, or spiritually.
They may seem like a godsend, and they are!
They are there for the reason you need them to be. Then, without any wrong
doing on your part,or at an inconvenient time, this person will say or do
something to bring the relationship to an end.
Sometimes they die.
Sometimes they walk away. Sometimes they act up and force you to take a
stand.
What we must realize is that our need has been
met, our desire fulfilled, their work is done.
The prayer you sent up has been answered.
And now it is time to move on.

When people come into your life for a SEASON...
It is because your turn has come to share, grow,or learn. They bring you an
experience of peace, or make you laugh.
They may teach you something you have never done.
They usually give you an unbelievable amount of joy.
Believe it! It is real! But, only for a season.

LIFETIME relationships teach you lifetime lessons; things you must build
upon in order to have a solid emotional foundation...
Your job is to accept the lesson, love the person, and put what you have
learned to use in all other relationships and areas of your life. It is said
that love is blind but friendship! is clairvoyant.
Thank you for being a part of my life.
Stop here and just SMILE.
This last part is to show people you love them and to see how many people
love you!!!!!!
Don't feel embarrassed. Because only you will get the results.
Send it to every friend that you have online, including the person who sent
it to you. :-)

0 Replies = you need to work on your "people skills
2 Replies = you're nice, but need to be more outgoing
4 Replies = you have picked your friends well
6 Replies! = you are downright popular
8 or More = you are totally awesome!!!!

Probably why you're on MY list!
Work like you don't need the money,
Love like you've never been hurt,
And dance like no one is watching.

I also have fibromyalgia. This is also very painful. Im tired all the time. I ask for healing so that I may live a full life. I am 50 years old, single and love to serve God with my gift of playing the piano in church. Ive not felt like playing the piano in a long time because of my diseases. I work full time and support myself. On the weekends I dont feel like doing anything but laying around and resting. Please pray for me. God has blessed me so much and I want to feel like doing something for Him again. Thank you in advance for your prayers. Love in christ, Ellie

Hello, my dear frineds! My health since I first wrote has gotten worse, but PTL, I'm still here I hav bronchial pneumonia, PLUS asthma now!! I am at home, but getting cabin fever. I have been down for 4 weeks, & have missed going to church!! Please pray that I will be well enough & strong enough to go Sunday! Lord, You know I miss being in Your house, so please, if I'm to be there, let me feel better, but if not, let me be content to be at home! You know how I like to get out & run, so You will have to really get me good.:) I know Lord, that at times I need a lightening bolt, but I promise NOT this time! I know You have a sense of humor, or You would never have given it to us, to help us get through this life! Let us use that as much as we can, & always remember that You went through more than we will ever face with our little complaints! Bless all of these precious ones, who are fighting illnesses & let them know that I love them & it dosen't matter that we don't know each other, because You know us all! Thank You for what You've done, what You're doing , & what You're going to do!! :) I love You, Lord!

Please pray for my husband of 19 years who suffers with degenerative disc disease of the back. All the pain medication in the world isn't helping him, and he is feeling so worthless since he is unable to work. He has always taken care of his family, and now he feels that he is no longer useful because of this disease.

I have never done this before, and I guess I am feeling like it is my last bit of hope. Please pray for him, and for the courage for him to go on, and never to give up. Thank you everyone.

My dear Prayer Circle Friends:

I Praise God for the healing of my cornea infection, and am believing that it will not flare up again the way it was this time. I have been having more problems with my spine and also the lupus flare I had has returned. The only thing that seems to keep it in control is having to take a rather large dose of prednisone every day. In a few minutes I will be leaving to go to the hospital to have the first of three caudal steroid injections in my back. I already have a spinal cord stimulator implanted and it has done very good until recently. They are going to check to see if there may be a slipped disc that has been causing the pain to exacerbate as it has this last week. I am so sorry that I have not been able to be on here more. I see where there have been so many new prayer requests since I was on. I would like to be able to address each and every one of you, but right now I am unable to do it. When things are settled down, I hope to keep up with everything here better; however, please know that each and every one of you are in my prayers, and that even if I can't write, I do come on enough to see the prayer requests so that I can add them to my list.

It is so good to see so many turning to each other for prayers and support. Many of you are suffering, I know, and my heart and prayers go to you. We do know the power of prayer - my eye was really a problem, and it was not sure that healing was going to occur, but it did, and I want to thank all of you here that have been praying. I will have my procedure this afternoon, and should be home tomorrow. As soon as I can come online I will let everyone know how it all went. BTW, if anyone would want to reach me by E-Mail you can write to me at:
Dolphin-1015@beliefnet.com

God Bless all of you and may God pour out his healing upon each and everyone of you. I will be back in touch soon.

Love & Prayers,
Dolphin

Dolphin: Praise the Lord your eye has been healed!!! I am praying about the procedure with your spine; may God reach down and give you peace and healing. We all love you and are praying for you.
DruidicPrincess: I am praying for you. You are so young to have to suffer so. Where did you get your info. that you would be wheelchair bound by the age of 25? I am certainly not an authority on any illness, but I would be concerned with a diagnosis with such a feeling of doom. I also have fibromyalgia and am 46 years old. I am not in good health, I have my good days and bad days, and certainly have my times when I am not able to do the things I want and even need to do. However, I am also the mother of 3 daughters, ages 30, l5, and l3. I would keep looking for a doctor who could offer any one of my daughters a better future if this diagnosis were for any of them. I will pray that this diagnosis is not accurate, and that treatment will be offered to give you more hope. I will also pray for complete healing from Almighty God the Father. He is able to do all things. God bless you and you keep believing that God will heal you!! We love you, and God loves you, too.
blondie43055oh: I will pray for you and your husband.. I know that sometimes I feel worthless, as I am not able to be the mother, grandmother, and wife I had always been until a year ago. I can certainly understand how your husband must feel. I will pray that God will grant him peace of mind and heart concerning his illness. I will also pray that God will heal your husband, and that He will give you strength and hope in your heart. May God bless you and your family. Love, Cheryl

All the little things
God does hear.
Oh, the little things
He does really care.
He heals the broken hearted,
the blind, and the lame.
But, oh the little things
He takes care of just the same.
He can move mountains and calm the sea,
And from sin deliver you and me.
But, oh, those little things
He cares about.
Just turn them over
to Jesus and never doubt.
Sometimes I am troubled, all in vain.
I didn't take to Jesus
the very small things.
Then I found, He cared
for the birds and bees
And all the little things
that trouble you and me.

Cheryl - Thank you for your prayers, and also thanks to all my other Prayer Circle friends. I got good relief with the caudal injections and will have another round in two weeks, and then a final one two weeks from that. In reading the prayer requests, I saw the one from Blondie regarding her husband who also suffers from degenerative disc disease of the spine. I have had three surgeries on the spine and had to have fusions, a disc removed, and hardware put in to hold things together because of my collapsing vertebrae. Even after all of this I still suffered from much pain, and had to have nerve blocks, that did not do much good. So, I began going to aggressive pain management and it was between having a permament pain pump or a spinal cord stimulator implanted. We tried the spinal cord stimulator and it has done a very good job for these months since last Sept. However, there are times that things shift and move and will cause pain in the nerves, especially the sciatic nerves in my legs. I do have another disc that is bulging, but it is not recommended for me to have anymore surgery at this time - and I really do not want to undergo anymore. What happened the other week was one of these times that something impacted on those nerves and caused pain for a couple of days before it moved. The stimulator helped, along with pain medication that I do have to take, but the steroid injections really made a difference. My doctor wants to try to handle these times in this manner, and not even consider anymore surgery now. I agree with him, as I am on the edge with the lupus so much of the time, and it flares up quite frequently. Blondie, if you are reading this, has your husband ever been to a pain management doctor? If not, it might help him in trying to deal with all of the pain he is in. I so understand what it is to go through that type of pain.

Wdumcyac: Thank you for posting that beautiful prayer which shows such strong faith in God. May He bless you and all who are near to you.

Lively - What a lovely poem - another testimony of faith in God.

Alcore - how have things been with you lately?

I know that so many of us have so much on our plates and sometimes we may become discouraged. I know I do at times, but I believe that God really is aware of all that we go through and loves us. We may not understand why things are as they are at times, however, we do come here to ask for prayers and to share our faith in God with each other. May you all have a good weekend and that you and those you love feel His love and healing hand touch you in a special way.

Love & Prayers,
Dolphin

Dear Blessed:

I am one who suffered from renal failure. So I know what all those who are suffering from this terrible disease are going through. I happen to be a lucky one though. The Lord answered my prayers as well as my younger brother did. After 4 1/2 years on hemo and peritoneal dialysis, I had a transplant. I am doing good today. But I also have another illness called Peripheal Vascular Disease {PVD} which is a blood disorder where my blood clots. It is a bad circulatory disease. I had to have my small to on my right foot amputated and my left leg above the knee amputated as well due to this disease. I happen to fall into the 2% of any type of transplant recipient to get this. I had 4 bypasses done on my leg before I "told" my vascular surgeon to amputate it. The pain was unbearable. In November of 2000, I also had a heart attack because of stress and my circulation problem. So, I pray for all those who are in need of transplants and those who are suffering the daily obstactles of this disease.

God is light, and in Him, there is no darkness at all. Amen. John 1:5

Dolphin: I am so glad to hear that you are better..... Praise God !!!

To all my friends in this prayer circle: Please pray for my friend, Peggy. She is losing the battle with colon cancer. She told our pastor about the funeral arrangements she has made. I admire her faith and strength---she is a shining light to all of us, even in her darkest hour. Please pray for her and for her family.
I hope all of you are feeling the love and strength that comes from the Father. I will continue to pray for you, and hope you will continue to pray for me and for each other.

Alcore: Where are you? I am praying for you and hoping you are okay.
Love to all,
Cheryl

O Lord, through the passion of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus, I beseech Thee to watch over and guide all those who suffer from chronic illness. Grant to us the courage to face our situations so that others may see Your perpetual light shining through us, as a beacon of strength that overcomes setbacks, and reaffirms Your Precious Love for ALL the sheep among Your flock. We are all Your children in spite of our physical situation, and Your Loving Son shepherds those of us who believe. Grant us the spiritual and mental strength to endure so that we may live in Your Divine Shadow. In the name of Jesus Christ, King of Kings, please hear and bless this prayer O Heavenly Father. -Amen

Somewhere someone is lonely
somewhere someone is blue
somewhere someone is saying
a prayer of love for you.
Somewhere someone is weeping
somewhere someone is weak
somewhere someone is hoping
to feel the prayer you speak.
Somewhere someone has fallen
somewhere someone needs a hand
somewhere someone kneels in prayer
and hopes the good Lord understands.
Somewhere someone is praying
somewhere someone prays for you
somewhere someone is wishing
for all of the good God can do.
Say a prayer ... Amen.

I would like to ask for prayer for me and my family. I was told that I had fibromyalgia about 4 years ago. I kept telling the doctor that I wasn't feeling any different from taking the medicine that they give you to help for fibromyalgia. In the back of my mind I kept feeling that something eles was wrong. Then two years ago I was told that I had Hepatitis C. Now it was more than 24 years ago that I had massive blood tranfusions and blood products ( When my first child was born I had developed a factor VIII anti-body after the pregancy. Meaning my blood did not clot.) I was very surprised to learn of this after so much time had passed. Well my point is Pleased ask to be checked for Hepatitis C if you have had blood or blood products before they started to screen for this and you have been told that you have fibromyalgia. One of the symtoms of Hepatitis C is fibromyalgia. It was a year ago that I finished the treatment for Hepatitis C.
I am also asking for prayer to find a church to belong to. We have moved a lot recently and had several severe financial set backs. In fact we are talking about relocating again. Please ask God to guide us on the path he would have us go. So many changes and much loss has occured. My husband is struggling so hard right now. I know that prayer does work and God does take care of his children. Please don't let us be harden by our tough times. Everything works out for His Good Purpose. Amen.
