Thomas W. Glenn Jr.
Tommy was a wonderful man. He was charming, intelligent, charismatic and good-hearted. He could always put a smile on your face.

This prayer circle is for all of those who are suffering from the disease of addiction, dealing with a family members addiction, or those of us who have lost a loved one to addiction. In loving memory of Tommy. September 2,1975-January 27,2001. God Bless

This prayer circle is in memory of Thomas W. Glenn Jr. Tommy was an intelligent, articulate, charming and good-hearted young man. His life ended short at the young age of 25. A true genius, the things he could have achieved if given the chance. On a cold Januay morning he passed away from "bad heroin". His family and loved ones miss him desperately and need prayers. Also, in honor of Tommy the prayers are being said for all of those suffering from the disease drug addiction, families dealing with addiction and loved ones of those who have passed on due to addiction. Tom was a conquerer, if this could beat him...it could beat anyone. Please help one another. Please Lord, give me the strength to continue to fight for this cause. God bless you.

WE LOVE YOU TOM!!!

Tom, you are in the Lords hands now and one day we will meet again For now, I pray for you all the peace and happiness in heaven.

QUIGLEY~In response to what you wrote on 10/5/06: Father God, I come to You now in the precious Name of Jesus, asking for Your Will to be done in Your children's lives, on Earth as it is in Heaven. Lord, I thank You for delivering them from Meth. I thank You for removing all negative influences from their lives. I thank You that when they are tempted by the evil one, that You have already provided a way of escape. May they see that way of escape with clarity from this day forward. I thank You for tearing down all strongholds that Satan has built up and/or is trying to build up in their minds. Give them increased strength to endure this difficult battle they're in. May they cast all of their cares upon You so that You can keep them in perfect peace. May they find out who they are in Christ. May they be the man and woman that You placed them on this Earth to be. They are royalty and they have an inheritance. May they find out what that is. Thank You. In Jesus' Name I pray. Amen.

Meditate on 2 Corinthians 10:4,5 and get into a good Bible-based church that puts no limits on God or His Word (if you're not in one already). And I don't know if you've accepted Jesus as your Lord and Savior, but if not, please do so today. Don't put it off until later.

If you would like to talk further, please email me at Lmbookerossie@yahoo.com--May God bless you and keep you and your boyfriend safe in His loving arms. Be blessed!

Lord we know you are the answer to all of our problems we face here on this earth. We know you are in control of all these things and we just ask for your mercy Lord, for those addicted, show them the way back to you Lord. God we pray that you would encourage the family members of those addicted with love, and joy and peace that can only come from you, not a false hope that is earthly father but a sense of hope that come from a belief in you and all you have created for us here on this earth. Father forgive us when we stumble and fall, and not do your will. Give us each one the courage we need to follow in the path way that you have planned for us. Thank you Lord God for your love, and for your eternal plan. We await anxiously your return. Amen

I pray that the family of Tommy has somehow found their strength through this awful episode. I understand what this kind of addiction can do to a family. My father is currently using and I am deathly afraid that I will be writing the same prayer circle soon. I pray for your family. God will see you through. He is watching over us now as an angel. He hears your prayers.

please pray for me. My boyfriend is a meth addict, and I am too. He is in jail right now. He almost died twice from endocarditis, a heart infection from using needles. I struggle everyday not to use one drug or another. I feel like I am fighting for my life. I need God's light in my life. I pray for his light for my boyfriend. He has been an addict most of his life and I pray for his freedom from bondage, and my own. And now that I am clean , I feel more alone than ever. All my friends used, and all my neighbors. Now they treat me like I am their enemy. I feel like I am stuck, and I try to get out, but I can't.I need strength and hope.

Help us carry the weight of this cross so that we do not break beneath it's load. Watch over us all so that we may choose to walk the path of righteousness, in Your name I pray, Amen.

It is the night before Thanksgiving and my husband is once more down in his room in the basement. He sits there with his jacket on, hood up, watching TV and getting drunk. Last year at this time I had attempted suicide. His drinking was horrible and our only time out was in the crappy bars. I was disgusted with life, I was lonely and felt like trash. The more he drank the more hateful and distant he became. He busted out both of my ear drums and broke my foot. I just didn't want to face another day feeling the way he made me feel. Anyways, I survived because God was not ready for me I was told. By all rights I should be gone today. I went to counseling and he quit drinking...til a few month ago again. Now he is back at it and he is distancing himself from me again. He tells me it is my fault he drinks. I am sad because he is once more talking down to me and being mean to me. He also took my children off the life insurance policy just out of the blue and told me he put his nephews on instead. He said if anything happens to us that is their Dads problem to take care of them. He won't be around to worry if they are taken care of. They are all good kids. My oldest is in the Army, my middle two are straight A students, top 5% of their class and Olivia is just a love bug. He told me he hasn't love them anymore in over a year. When he is drinking, he is just mean spirited all the time. I think he does things like this to hurt us. I am so sad tonight because I thought maybe he would be happy I was alive to spend another holiday with him, but instead he just came home with a case. I don't even know what to pray for anymore. Sorry this is so long. I just needed to vent. I am just so sad and have been crying all night. Thank you and God Bless you for listening to my story. Lisa

Lisa,

I read your story and it made me very sad because I have been that person drinking and I have also been on the other end with meth. I think that my situation is getting better and I guess only time will tell but just remember that you are not alone and that there will come a day when this will be over. Things eventually get worse before they get better but they will get better. I don't think that anyone can make your husband stop drinking unless he wants to - all we can do is pray and that I will do for you tonight. God Bless & Happy Thanksgiving.

LISA~In response to what you wrote on 11/22/06: I read your testimony on the other prayer circle, and posted a prayer for you there. So, I just want to tell you something. God wants you to prosper and be in good health even as your soul prospers. I am praying for you. I am praying for the abuse to cease immediately. I am praying for the two of you to be close and for healing in your marriage. I am praying for you to not attempt suicide anymore. No, God was not ready for you to leave, yet. You should have died a year ago, but you didn't. You lived because God has a plan and a purpose for your life. If you don't know what that plan and purpose is, don't be discouraged, just trust and believe that God has something great for you. You just continue being the Godly woman, mother and wife that God wants you to be. And if you can, you may want to get out of the abusive situation you're in until your husband is delivered from that behavior. I know he may only abuse you when he drinks, but how often is that? Besides, any abuse is too much abuse. But, I know you didn't come here for a lecture, so I will stop there. I am concerned for you and your well-being. So, if you ever need prayer or just want someone to talk to, feel free to email me at Lmbookerossie@yahoo.com--May God richly bless you in ALL areas of your life. Be blessed!

Lord, I ask that you touch the heart of my husband and everyone that is suffering from a terrible addiction so that they can be free again to love you and trust in you completely. My family is going through some rough times because of an accident that almost killed my husband and he is relying on an illegal drug to keep him from the pain but this is tearing our family apart. Please pray for my husband so that he can be deliver from the hands of the evil that lurks on this drug. I dont know where else to turn but my dear God for help and your prayers.

Lord, I pray for his salvation and deliverance from all things that are not pleasing in Your sight. Lord, I thank You for being his Savior, Deliverer, Healer, Friend, Father and so much more. I thank You for removing the desire to rely on those drugs. May he turn to You and trust in You completely, Lord. You have a plan and purpose for his life, otherwise he wouldn't have survived that accident. Please reveal to him what that plan and purpose is. I thank You that he IS (not will be) an awesome man of God. I thank You for stengthening him in the areas where he is weak. I thank You for allowing his wife to be there to support him. May You give her increased strength, comfort, peace, patience, wisdom, knowledge, understanding, revelation, and discernment. I plead the blood of Jesus over this family. In Jesus' Name I pray. I pray right now as an addict with the disease of addiction, I have walked the streets of hell, and I have allowed God to deliver me, and I pray in the mighty name of Jesus that he touch all addicted and allow them to know that there is hope, there is a place they belong, and there is love. Oh God, reach out to their hearts and show them your love through other people's eye, I myself had to see you through other's and thank you Jesus that when I hit my bottom, you were right there with me. I also want to praise you for the struggles I have faced this year, and I have leaned on your everlasting love and forgiveness, and have not used drugs to cover my depressions, my rage, my anger, my disease of addiction, that I know is only under arrest, and thank you God that you hold the keys, and you have already defeated the enemy, so God I pray that all of your addicted children put that disease under arrest, in the mighty name of Jesus, we are all healed by the blood of Christ, he died that we may live, and living in active addiction is HELL. I love you my father, my all and praise God for this prayer circle, I have often heard that other's must die so other's can live, even though that sounds cruel, May some addict read this prayer and turn to you for the help and be guided to the place you would want them to recover, God Bless the family of this Boy who died in 2001. My mother died with this disease when I was 12, and my father died with this disease when I was 21, God I pray that this vicious cycle be broken in my family, as I am clean right now, My daugter is clean, and my new born grandson never, ever pick up that horrid disease, all in the mighty name of Jesus. Amen.

CLNLISLYN41~In response to what you wrote on 12/11/06: I praise God that you are clean. And I declare, decree and confess that you are and forever will remain free and delivered from this addiction. I set my faith in agreement with yours that this generational curse is broken now and forevermore in Jesus' Name. Everything stops with you. May you have the strength you need daily to not yield into temptation. I thank You, Lord, that when temptations arise, that You have already provided a way of escape. May Your child recognize this way of escape clearly and take it immediately. May God show you favor and give you the desires of your heart!

I pray for all addicts and all recovering addicts. My prayers are with all of the families who lost a loved one to an addicition. The holiday season must be the hardest. My hearts go out to all of you. I pray that this New Year brings wake up calls to all those who are lost, wake up to God and find their way back, to all the loved ones waiting. Love is the only thing that can save us all. So I also pray that more parents will fight and see through the disease and try to reach with love. Hopefully their love will be returned.
