My sweet son, Mark, was addicted to drugs and alcohol. Like Tommy he was a genius suffering with his addiction. I pray for all addicts and families of addicts they would know Jesus and the love He has for us.

Dear Lord..
This hit home hard! I am struggling with addiction, also heroin, as well as my son. I hate it so much, but I do believe you have a plan for all of us that suffer this terribe plight! I pray for your will not mine, and for the comfort you can give those to the family of the young man that has
now passed into your grace. He has already touched so many lives, so Thankyou Father for your love, and I honor Tommy's name, his life and his family this wonderous day you have given me!
Let all of us who suffer, shine with your light, that others listen to our stories, and learn from our mistakes.

DARKNESS
Darkness creeps through cracks and crevices, then it makes it's way through your veins
Where's the life I've so desired?
Or is my life just doomed to pain?
I'm reaching out to you Dear Lord...
My life is tired and strained..
I know you have the power

Vikki it is good to see you here, everyone is right we all have struggles.i pray or you.do you go to meetings? if you don't well maybe you should just a suggestion. i do i am a recovering addict, and just because i have some clean time does not mean that my disese doesn't surface in other areas because it does. right now it's slleeping but it will always be thee. maybe you can show your son a different way. there is one all you need to do is take that first step and trust me i know it's not easy. it was by far the hardest thing i have ever done. i was so scared of what this new life was i had no clue how to llive and still am just hanging on. god bless you. hi to everyone i hope all is good. i just wanted to post and still let everyone know that i miss them, this was an awsome place for me to find. i just wanted to let you all know the gratdiude that i still have for this circle. do have to go to sleep love always jessica

my husband desperately needs your prayers, he is a crack coccaine addict and recently he was so bad he forced me to take him to buy a piece of crack, I want him to be well, however I, myself, am in treatment right now to learn how to take care of myself from him and I am not strong enough to help him. Karen, you can't help an addict that has not seen the light trust me. my name is Jessica and i am a grateful,recovering addict, i allowed my child and the man of my dreams to walk out of my life for a certain,amount of time. with the grace of God i was able to find my way and find my way back to the rooms. but this time i wanted help for myself..... not for another. and i hate to say it but intil he is sick of bieng sick and tired things aren't going to change, no matter how much he loves you, there is another way to live. Jim showed me the rooms and a seed was planted but he could not save me, i had to do that myself. which i am doing,right now he isn't a part of my life and being clean i feel that pain now more than ever. but had i not went down that road i would have never known that i excisted. i'm not sure how else to explain. but there are also meetings out there for people who are inlove with addicts. those meetings i know will help you to ubderstand since you are on the other side of the rope. i just know that this disease is alllllll powerful, and i will pray for your husband, and you because i know all to well how our behaviors effect everyone in ourlives. love and light i will be looking for you now let me know if you need help. to everyone else i hope all is well and that God is shinging his light on your lives as he is doing mine. Dear Lord I come to you this day and give all my problems to you. I pray starting at this very minute I quit drinking, gambling and trying to find a quick fix to overcome my anxious stress. I pray that I put you first and regain my inner strengt. I pray that I will have enough money to make it while out on 6 weeks intern without pay. In Jesus name I sooooooo pray I overcome these horrible addictions that are destroying my life. I thank you that Im doing great in school and continue. To all I pray for you and all your weaknesses. I have been gambling and drinking alot lately and won 1400$ 2 weeks ago and now after going out last night drinking and to the casino. Im now down to 100$ in savings and all that money was to help me pay bills when Im on internship. I was so depressed that I even called in sick last night for school and sick today for work. I don't no why Ive gotten so bad lately but I truly am ready to change. I dont like the way I feel the next day after drinking and loosing money. In the name of Jesus I pray for strength, willpower and to overcome any addicitions. I pray you are all healthy and happy and that God leads you all in the right direction. hey guys from reading the posts it still seems like everyone is having a hard time. Q if you get to a computer please drop a line,i worry about you. fr eeryone that has crossed that line into addiction again JUST COME BACK GO TO THE ROOMS............THATS ALL I REALLY CAN SAY. i hate to say it like that but a seed has been planted and i'm sorry but by now after getting clean when you choose to use. it is a CONCIOUS DECISION YOU HAVE ALL THE CONTROL AT THAT POINT!!!!!!! i will pray that you make it but if you don't well you guys all knew a better way. and at this point it has nothing to do with GOD it has to do with you thinking that your not good enough for this life that GOD has gave you. thats all i hope you guys do make it. i'm kind of upset with the relapses that are going on,and people crying out for help but not willing to do anything about it. both fellowships are around the WORLD....THERE ARE NO EXCUSES other than you guys are not willing to change.i'm sorry to be so cold tonight but this stuff needs to be said and it seems like i'm the only one that will say it. and no-one can say that i have no idea what i'm talking about because i was there and not to long ago, i just make the choice to not go back....don't think that i don't have urges and cravings because i do. but that swhen i call another addict go to the rooms and talk about it. this is a we program,and for a reason, because obviously your way is not working... lov and light Jessica

It has been quite some time since I have posted, but I have still been reading your posts. Just have not been led by the Spirit od God to post - until now.
First of all - welcome to all of you new guys on here! Glad to have you join our little family, as Kris put it. We are able to be very open and honest here with each other - but thats our choice. Not all have always been very honest or open.
Draganess_ I hope with all my heart that you get through to these guys, cuz I have tried and tried, and it does no good. Sad, huh? I have tried to get these guys to give the rooms a chance, but like you said, it is their choice, and they have in the past chosen not to go.But, it IS THEIR CHOICE, and if they CHOOSE to remain mesriable, and drink or drug, then there is nothing any of us can do except pray they don't die from it! You are absoultly right also about God doesn't have anything to do with it at that point. I do not think you are being cold - the best thing we can give an addict is a big dose or reality/truth. You are right - given an HONEST chance - the rooms, steps, traditions, slogans DO WORK!!! I am very glad to have you here with us, and being able to share your testimony with all. Congrats on you progress!! :-)

I, too have not been able to post since I have been out another whole week with my sick again grandson. My heart goes out to all of you, especially the newcomers and it is my prayer that we here will get REAL with the one who gives life and gives it more abundantly. Everything we need to be more than conquerers comes from HIS Hand. He so freely wants to give us what we need if we will listen to that still small voice telling us to lay down all our pride and the sin that so easily besets us and run with patience the race that is set before us. If God is for us--who can be against us? We don't have to wallow in old habits if we CHOOSE not to! "Now by this we know that we KNOW Him, if we keep His Commandments" 1John 2:3 "No discipline seems pleasant at the time, but painful. Later on, however, it produces a harvest of righteousness and PEACE for those who have been trained by it." Heb 12:11
This is the verse that keeps holding me up in the midst of all my own trials and tribulations:
"For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will call upon Me and come and pray to Me, and I will listen to you. You will seek Me snd find Me when you seek Me with all your heart." Jer. 29:11-13
One last one--He gives power to the weak, and to those who have no might He increases strength." Isaiah 40:29
We give the fight over to Him every minute, every second--He gives the victory to overcome our own demons.

Without God it isimpossible to please him for he is a rewarder of those who dilgently seek him.Praying for the dead does not mater.For me are made up of body6msuoland spirit.Once you die your spirit goes back to God from where it came.Now the soul is a differnet story.It eithers go to heaven withthe spirit of Godfor the word of God says that you must be born again.Through the blood of Jesus christ.Did he accepted christ as his Lord ad Savior and confess his sins? Some people pray for the dead but it is useless for we will all one day stand before God and givce account as to what we did with His Son.
If you said I thought he was just a prophet or some off the wall chaacter then you are going to die an eternal death in the lake of fire.It isnot about mary for mary was the chosen vessal God chose to enter.Jesus said I am the way,the truth and the light no man comes to the father but my me.Jesus also stated He and His father are one.So tell me why are people praying for a dead person who can't hear you. Hello all,

I am on a friend's computer and just wanted to say hi and that i am doing alright. I have been dealing with a situation with Brett more than looking for a job - but I need to start looking soon. I think I am going to freelance for a little while as a legal assistant and maybe look into going back to school to finish my degree in criminology - maybe become a probation officer? I don't know - life has been crazy lately. Please pray that I make the right decision on this - I still need to support Taylor and I and I'm not even sure if I'm getting unemployment for sure. They have to go through a review board so I pray that they okay my unemployment. I have finally left Brett for good. He lost it one night and hit me and a male friend of his I was visiting (completely innocent) He went crazy and followed me in my car - damaged the door on my car and hit me and threw me on the ground - then he went in and hit Paul 3 times - once everyone found out what happened every friend we have is done with him. Even his best friend of 16 years has come to me and said she is sorry for what has happened and won't speak to him. So... on with life. He owed me $8,000 and after 2 weeks of fighting, blackmailing, etc. he has finally agreed to get a loan to pay me for it. It has been a very emotional 2 weeks but I feel better already. I just need to get my life on track as far as finding the right job and things will get better.

I will have to let you know that thats probabley not a good thing. now that he has crossed the line. my father is by polar and abusive and after 25 years, he still has not changed,take it from me growing up as achild and both of my mothers who have left him. thank god. chris thanx for your kind words. i picked up my 90 days today and my sponcer brought me a rose. i also shared my first sttep.this is the third time going through it. but this time, i felt such a freedom that i haven't felt before.so it was meant to be for me to lose it and start over. for al those who are out there. see the excitment i have. this could be yours. instead of the hell that you guys are in, but enough of preaching.this circle was started for a reason, and that is to carry the message. so god be willing to all of you i will pray for you,but more than that there is nothing else to do love and light.....Jessica

I first want to say I love you all and all the new people . Im very upset with the way the "so called cean people" are putting down the so called loosers that drink, smoke, drugs, whatever it may be.I have one thing to say and that is YOU were all there at one time when people told YOU to quit drinking, drugs, bad relationsips, whatever the problem was..For some it takes time and mistakes,,ITS not all about choices, I made A choice last year re-hab for alcohol and did good for about 6months on o'duls..I also no that life sometimes throws you a cerve and its bye no means an excuse..But I love all in here and we are trying to share our stories and problems with all and I dont mind postive critizisim but to say " it all our choice" like its that easy........We have all been there done it etc...Look at Bonnie and cocaine hubby, FINALLY he is getting help but how long did that take? LOOk at Kris, she is a walking testimony in my opinion. GOD works when he decides were and HE is ready,
